Individual Times Tables (1–12)

Sometimes a single times table list is more useful than a full grid — especially when your child is focusing on one table at a time. Print the ones they are working on and stick them where they can see them.

Blank Multiplication Grid

Print this blank grid and have your child fill it in from memory. It is one of the most effective self-tests for times tables — and filling in the whole grid gives them a real sense of achievement.

How to Use Printable Times Tables Effectively

On the Wall

Stick a filled-in multiplication chart on the fridge, by the homework desk, or on the bedroom wall. Passive exposure builds familiarity with number patterns — your child absorbs the layout even when they are not actively studying.

In the Homework Folder

Keep a copy of the full grid in your child’s homework folder so they can look up facts independently while doing maths work. Over time, encourage them to answer from memory first and check with the chart afterwards.

For Self-Testing

Use the blank grid regularly. Have your child fill it in from memory, then compare against the filled-in version. Circle any facts they got wrong and focus on those during the next practice session.

As a Game

Print two blank grids — one for you and one for your child. Race to fill them in correctly. Or take turns: roll a dice to pick a row, then fill in that row from memory. First to complete the grid wins.

Combine Printables with Digital Practice

Printable charts are a great visual reference, but building quick recall also takes regular active practice. Times Tables Check is a free app that works alongside these printables — use the charts for reference and the app for timed practice and MTC simulations.
