About these terms

Times Tables Check is provided by Kindling Tools (“we”, “us”, “our”). These terms govern your use of our website at timestablescheck.com and the Times Tables Check web application.

What we provide

Times Tables Check is a free educational tool to help children practise multiplication facts. The app includes:

  • Times tables practice from 2× to 12×
  • Timed and untimed practice modes
  • A simulation of the Year 4 Multiplication Tables Check (MTC) format

Not an official service

Important: Times Tables Check is an unofficial practice tool. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Department for Education (DfE), the Standards and Testing Agency (STA), or the UK Government.

The MTC simulation mode is designed to help children become familiar with the format and timing of the check, but it is not identical to the official assessment. For official information about the Multiplication Tables Check, visit GOV.UK.

Using the service

Who can use it

Times Tables Check is designed for:

  • Children in primary school (typically ages 5–11)
  • Parents and carers supporting children’s learning
  • Teachers and educators

Children should use the app with appropriate adult supervision.

Acceptable use

When using Times Tables Check, you agree not to:

  • Attempt to access, tamper with, or damage our systems
  • Use automated tools to scrape or copy content
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose
  • Misrepresent the service as an official government tool

Intellectual property

All content, design, and code on Times Tables Check is owned by Kindling Tools or used under licence. You may use the app for personal, educational, and non-commercial purposes.

You may not copy, modify, or redistribute our content without permission, except as allowed by law (such as fair dealing for educational purposes).

No warranties

Times Tables Check is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. While we aim to provide a helpful and reliable service, we do not guarantee that:

  • The service will always be available or error-free
  • The content is completely accurate or up to date
  • The service will meet your specific requirements

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kindling Tools is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Times Tables Check.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Loss of data stored locally on your device
  • Any impact on a child’s performance in official assessments
  • Service interruptions or technical issues

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Changes to the service

We may update, modify, or discontinue Times Tables Check at any time without notice. We’ll try to give reasonable notice of significant changes, but we’re not obligated to do so.

We may update these terms from time to time. We’ll update the “last updated” date at the top of this page when we make changes. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Severability

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue to apply.
